The 2001 Southampton Boat Show saw the launch of the collaboration between Discovery Yachts and Ron Holland Design for the Discovery 55 and the birth of Discovery Yachts. The Discovery 55 very soon became a benchmark for the qualities required in a genuine bluewater cruising yacht; designed for short-handed sailing in total safety and comfort.
With 50 boats launched and many hundreds of thousands of cruising miles accomplished, Discovery Yachts and Ron Holland have chosen the Southampton Boat Show as the perfect place to launch the new Discovery 55 Mk II; an exiting moment indeed.
