This years St Barths Bucket was special. Three races on over 20 kts of wind, under sunny skies with over 30 yachts involved!
I reflect and compare this to the very first St Barths Bucket in 1995. I sailed with Tom Taylor aboard my original 100 foot plus design, Gleam. We were impressed that 3 big yachts showed up to join us!
For me, having 7 of my designs on the starting line this year and several more cruising in St Barths waters during the Regatta, was quite a contrast to the original event, now almost 20 years ago.
