On February 16th, 2013 ‘old Spirit friends’ and crew members gathered at Richmond Yacht Club on San Francisco Bay to celebrate the ‘rebirth’ of an ocean going yacht that I (and some other kids) were proud to have sailed a few thousand miles across the Pacific.
Dick Enersen and Bill Barton have shared photos of this event with me. I am surprised (and disappointed) to see Spirit now has a real toilet rather that the ‘Birch John’ bucket we lived with!
