The new Year brings the sad news of Noel Lister, English Yachtsman, has passed on to his next ‘big cruise’ in the sky.
I was lucky to receive the design commission for this important big sailing yacht, and sail with Noel on his Whirlwind XII.
Whirlwind XII was the first 100 ft + for Ron Holland Design and for builder Wolter Huisman. An important yacht with circumnavigation and many thousands of additional sailing miles under her keel. All involved with WW XII and the Lister Family are grateful to have been part of the story.
