Local Berkeley, California book store owner has a past. George Kiskaddon and his parents welcomed Ron Holland into their home in the late 60’s, before venturing out in the family’s 33 foot yacht “Spirit“ to cross the Pacific Ocean.
George is pictured below in 1971 with Chief Benny’s canoe, as deck cargo, a required piece of gear they picked up in the Fiji Islands while sailing from LA to Auckland then on to Australia for the 1971 Sydney Hobart Race. Get the full story in Ron Holland’s memoir “All The Oceans”.
