In any successful life chance plays a part but more important is the ability to capitalise on good luck and the ability to somehow derive benefit from bad luck as well.
Ron Holland's story is inspiring, fascinating and amusing. It is a good, easy read and beautifully presented book.

Ron's memoir is a combination of gripping adventure and awesome accomplishments.
He led his industry in the marketplace while making a significant and lasting impact on the people in the sailing and boating community. I am honored to know Ron and to have sailed with him in America's Tall Ship, the 300-foot sailing barque EAGLE. Ron stayed up much of the day and night speaking with young cadet trainees and imparting knowledge of the sea and its lore. He is a superb trainer, who has a passion for discovering talent and helping people achieve their full potential. I trust this book will inspire you as much as it did me.
