My introduction to Lars Strom came in 1978 following the success of “imp” winning races on both sides of the Atlantic. Nautor’s Swan Yachts invited me to the shipyard in Finland and would build a Production Series of two versions of my “imp” yacht design. Lars Strom was responsible for making these yachts a reality and several more Ron Holland design Swan’s would follow.

Lars was also involved on the “Garuda” project which was a design collaboration between Nautor’s Swan, Jon Bannenberg and Ron Holland Design. It would be the first 100 foot Swan to be launched.
