After a long design and build process, the first Kestrel 106 is almost ready for launching. The 32.4m aluminium yacht was designed by Ron Holland Design and conceived by the Kestrel Superyachts team, headed by managing director, Peter Cooke.
The Kestrel 106 is the first of a new genre of fast sailing yacht with motor yacht accommodation space and very high stability. Due to her exceptional volume, she has four very generous cabins, all en suite. Kestrel is as much about comfort and entertainment as she is about fast cruising. The cockpit seating units slide on tracks, allowing them to be placed in line with the deck salon to form a sailing cockpit, brought together to create intimate dining for eight to ten, or slide outboard over the winch base to clear the aft deck for a cocktail party or dancing.
Kestrel should be ready for her sea trials by the end of November 2011. Following completion she will be listed with Watkins Superyachts at an asking price of €7.5 million.
