At 108 feet in length Avalon  (original name Gleam) was built in New Zealand and launched in 1986. She was one of the first designs by Ron Holland to break the 100 foot barrier. This was when any 100 foot long yacht was considered a big yacht! 

Following her purchase by the Taylor Family, Avalon was based for many years in Nantucket in the summer and St Barths in the winter. She has the distinction of being one of the first yachts to compete in the original ‘Bucket Regattas’.

Presently based in Vancouver Canada, Avalon followed Ron Holland  to his new Design Studio location.
